Original art deserves a proper home.
Original art — pencil pages, inked boards, painted covers, commissioned illustrations — has always occupied a special place in collecting. These are the actual objects that artists touched. The lines are real. The corrections, the underdrawing, the process — all of it is there on the page.
For years, collectors have tracked their collections in spreadsheets, shared them in forums, and stored their provenance knowledge in their heads. OA Realm exists to fix that.
We built a platform with the metadata, the community features, and the portfolio tools that original art collectors actually need — starting with comic art and expanding from there.
What is OA?
Original Art — the real thing.
“OA” stands for Original Art. In the collecting community it refers to the physical artwork created by the artist — as opposed to prints, reproductions, or digital files. When you own original art, you own the source.
Pencils
The raw pencil drawing, often on bristol board — the foundation of the work.
Inks
Pencils finished with ink. The defining linework of classic comic art.
